The Barwon Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) ia responsible for the delivery of mental health services to children and young people aged 0-15 years, and their families. CAMHS undertakes bio-psycho-social psychiatric assessments and provides treatment planning and interventions, secondary consultation and community education. The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) team provides specialist assessments in this area for school aged children.

The ASD coordinator position has been developed as an outcome of the Victorian Government Autism State Plan and the successful applicant will lead and participate in the ASD assessment and diagnostic process within CAMHS, and provide supervision to other members of the ASD team. You will also take a lead role in developing partnerships and improved service co-ordination between individuals and services within the field of ASD providers in the Barwon Region.

You will be able to work independently, interdependently and flexibly within the CAMHS multidisciplinary team and collaborate with a number of agencies with differing cultures to facilitate good working relationships.
